Who We Are
EYWES (Empowerment of Youth & Women Ecosystem Sustainability) is a grassroots nonprofit organization committed to empowering communities in Machakos & Kwale County and surrounding regions.
Our work focuses on addressing key challenges that affect rural communities including water scarcity, environmental degradation, limited access to education, and economic barriers faced by women farmers.
We believe sustainable development must start at the community level. By empowering youth and women with resources, knowledge, and opportunities, we create long-term solutions that benefit families and ecosystems alike.
Through partnerships with local communities, development partners, and volunteers, we implement programs that:
- Improve access to clean and reliable water
- Restore ecosystems through tree planting and environmental conservation
- Support education for vulnerable children
- Empower women through agriculture and market access
